CONCERN AND LACK -0F Ii'!
..
Monday night of last week close to 300 people from this' com-
munity filled the LUcknow Legion . Hall t9,,see.two films. The speaker
was a member of the R.C.M.P. The films concerned` a problem which
is uppermost in • the minds of everyone, "Drugs". •
Two days ' 1 aheir, 'The, Sentinel was published containing • a letter
to' the editor from a responsible group of elevens young . people. The
letter. suggested:the possibility of • a Youth Centre in the village. it
asked for comments and opinions;' on 'such . a move. '
The Sentinel treatediheletter to the editor in such a manner that
it ' was ' made ' easy for readers to fill ; in theanswers and return the
questionnaire,
Only one reply was received from the ' Sentinel's 7.500 readers. -
The young people.. were not asking for an endorsement of the
idea`. They wanted to know the opinions of :people;` for or -against, such
a : suggestion.
