THE GARDEN PARTY!
•
Some . of the
enjoyments' of living in .a small • community are the.
many community social • events which are available to you.
One of these ''events which comes up annually is the 'Garden •
Party and, this immediate area has 'just hadtwo very successful ones •
.in the past couple of weeks,
Through the .years, because of the unpredictable weather no
doubt, .the party has been moved from, the garden under cover but it
has . not dost its friendly, neighbourly atmosphere which makes such
an event an enjoyable family outing..
Garden Parties are funfor people like ourselves, but for the
ladies ;who work togetherto prepare such an event, they represent
many, hours of hard work.:
Despite the many hours of preparation which are "involved, we
• sense, .'among ..the ladies, a climate of enjoyment., and accomplishment
in what they are'. doing.
Garden Parties, . at one time, ' were held at every country corner.
Only a few regular ones remain in this area. We hope they, continue to
be an annual event,
