One of these ''events which comes up annually is the 'Garden • Party and, this immediate area has 'just hadtwo very successful ones • .in the past couple of weeks, Through the .years, because of the unpredictable weather no doubt, .the party has been moved from, the garden under cover but it has . not dost its friendly, neighbourly atmosphere which makes such an event an enjoyable family outing.. Garden Parties are funfor people like ourselves, but for the ladies ;who work togetherto prepare such an event, they represent many, hours of hard work.: Despite the many hours of preparation which are "involved, we • sense, .'among ..the ladies, a climate of enjoyment., and accomplishment in what they are'. doing. Garden Parties, . at one time, ' were held at every country corner. Only a few regular ones remain in this area. We hope they, continue to be an annual event, T Ripley District High School's •: •_ modern spacious auditorium; was taxed beyond its.,;capacity on Satur- day night when hundreds of friends, 'associates; students' both of •the ., resent -and --from former ream rouefied--bukfly-on inti en:t 'n of • our Ab.'Wyldson happy and sad during„his teaching • came backuto hon . the occasion: of: his, retirement as career .in Ripley and .of the honor• .. of the Ri le.
