HURON -BRUCE The Government•this week refected an attempt by the Opposit- ion to freeze -the amaurit'of money that doctors will•be paid under the Medical Services Insurance plan This leaves OMSI'P with the„pow- er to pay 90010 of the new Medical Association fee schedule which .• went into effect on April 1. The doctors increased their fees by an average 10010 Under the Opposition proposal • any attempt,to•'increase rates char- ged by the doctors would have to be submitted to the Medical Insur- apce Council which wt.uld review the doctors' payment structure twice a year.. Fee, schedules decid ed on by the Council would• go'into! effect on April 1st of the year in. which they were established: ,Dr;` Dymond said OMSIP prem- iums will riot, be •increased for 'at least a year under the ne.w -payment schedule:.
