Weekend Conference At Ripley

agers arriving on Friday 'eveiing

Conference which concluded Sun-
day. The weekend ended with a
church service done entirely by
the `Young folk in St. Andrew's
United Churchwhich. was -filled to

Registration began; at 8'. p. m . Fri-
day evening and thei
young folk. were billeted At homes
in.and around Ripley. 'Meals were
served by the ladies of St Andrews
• United Church. in the High School.
• Rev. • Laird Stirling of Lucknow
was the adult advisor for the group:
Rev;. Bruce Seebach of Hamilton
was the.guest speaker; ;During the
conference; study groups,
meetings,. dances; hootenanys and

Society met on Sunday: evenings at
the home of Mr and' Mrs .:Bob .
Mann. The meeting opened with
the call,to worship by Simon de
Boer. Hymn story of,” What a
Friend owe have in Jesus" was given
by. Agnes Conley before the hymn
was sung. 'Scripture was read by
D8nald Scott, :and prayer by John
• de Boer. The roll. call,was answered

The Service on Sunday morning
was presented in drama form.. A _
guitar-playet led the service' -in -song:
.and Lynn Clayton,. Bruce Aiken and
Brian Boyle took the lead parts in
the sermon. At the close of the
service, communion ;was served to
the Young People. and •all left
feeling a great deal had been,
accomplished. Sixty Of the young
.folk journeyed to Wingham where
they did a tape for future use on
Sing'•Time. Teens Alive, the
theme of the conference was`,sugg
ested by' Rev , George Ball of.
