PUPILS' VISIT SUGAR SHACK
On Wednesday of last week, -
rooms one, two and three were
taken to.'River Bank Sugar Shack
which is operated'. by Pentland .
Caesar. One group went in the
morning and, another in the after-
noon. The children were shown
how the trees''were tapped; They
went to the shack to see the,oper-'•
ation of boiling down the sap..
They were then allowed; to taste' ,.
the maple sugar, *'maple toffee and
maple -syrup.. Mr. MacLennan; the
'teachers and the pupils would,like

MUSICAL 'ADVERTISEMENT
,On Thursday , a group, of students'
from: ,Room' eleven decided to
advertise for the collection to be
taken; for the Victoria fund'. Mr
Cameron's class, -composed a
musical commercial. Later in the
day some of thest1udents visited the
classrooms to sing their song .and
play their recorders, The advertis-
ing idea was; very imaginative and:
successful because Friday's; collect;-
ion came to 'over $20,
