The February Meeting of
HaCkett's-United Church Women
was held at the home of Mrs. Alex
Hackett on. Thursday,. 'February
27th.
'Mrs. Donald:.Haekett opened the:
meeting with a reading., The hymn,
"Take, Time to be'Holy" was sung
followed by the repeating of the.
Lord's Prayer.
Mrs 'Alex Hackett read, a. chapter
from the book "`Japan'Profiles"'. A
skit: "The Convert" ; in a mission-
ary's home in India; was presented
by Mrs. ,Kenneth Alton ,:Mrs
Clifford Menary and Mrs. Alex
Hackett.
T'he'roll call was' answered by
twelve ladies with a verse with the
word ,prayer in it.
Mrs., Kenneth Alton took the
Study Book.
The World's Day of Prayer is to be
held at Mrs.' Kaiser's on ,March 7th.
Mrs: Reg Broome reported • on the •
bale, which was sent last December:
There •is to be an apron contest at
the 'next. meeting and the 'aprons to
be' sold at ;the bazaar. November

She went -to Stratford Teacher's
College: She was raised on the 9th
concession,of Ashfield and now
lives in Dungannon
She has seven children and two
grandchildren. Her'out ofdschool
activities' are. reading, knitting and
hiking. She has taught at S.S. No.,

Friday's sitting.. of Huron County
Council. '
Court, house' budget is set at
