KIEFFER- FORTNEY:
The church of the Immaculate
Conception, Formosa, OntariO was
the scene of a pretty autumn wedd-
iong'ar high noon on October 19th
when Joan Marie Fortney, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Leander Fortney of
R. R.# 1, Mildmay, became the
bride of Rodger Joseph Kieffer, son
of 'Mr. and 'Mrs. Oscar Meffer,
R.R.# 1, ,Wingham f in a double ,
ring ceremony. .
Rev. Father Meyer of Formosa
officiated.ht the marriage and
nuptial mass,. assisted by Rev. Carl
Schmidt of Preston', cousin of the
bride. Baskets of yellow and bronze
mums decOrated the•alter."
Mrs. Oscar Hiesz played the wedd
ing music and Mrs. James Fischer
of Formosa was soloist. •
The brideentered the church with
her father. She was attired in a
traditional floor length gown of
white lagoda with rows of French
lace on the skirt and elbow length
sleeves. The gown featured a de-
tachable lace -trimmed chapel
train failing .from bOWs at the
shoulders. A jewelled tiara held

silt illusion. She carried a cascade
a red and white roses with satin
streamers. •
Maid of honour for her sister was
Jeanette Fortneyof Kitchener. She
chose a formal gown of limegreen.
