board of'transport commissioners.'
for authority to remove the agent: -
operator at the Lucknow CNR .
station.
When information of this move
was Made known in Lucknow, a
,petition was signed by most busin-
ess places in the village and :the
petition called for the CNR to keep
the-Lucknow station open, for an:
agent in charge to carry on his
duties..as before aridoperate on a
regular basis ;and for the CNR to
recontinue: the delivery •of freight
and express on. Saturday.
Some months .ago the CNR freight
• and express depot was,
moved to a
.downtown; rentedquarters and itis
felt by man .that with' a suitable' •

move did not make good business
sense

matter with CNR officials to be
