Ashfield Resident Died Suddenly ' MRS,, RUSSEL ALTON The community was deeply sadd- ened to learn of the sudden passing of Mrs: Russel Alton of Ashfield on Tuesday; July 18th. She entered Wingham 'District ,Hospital the prey ious..Saturday morning suffering from; art asthmatic condition which quickly worsened., On Tuesday afternoon, as Mrs. Alton :was being transferred by ambulance to a Lon- don Hospital, :she passed ,away en route. ;to' London. Mrs. Russel Alton was the former • Mary .Elizabeth MacDonaid.daugh ter• of the late John A.. MacDonald and Gertrude Byrd of Lucknow. She was born in the Algoma!District on July 19th, 1910. The family lived at .Thessalon .briefly before .corning to Belfast ..Fifty one years ago they moved to Lucknow•when Mr. Mac- Donald purchased the saw mill and. grist . mill.
