County Still Has
No Answer On
Rustling Rewards
Rural reeves,concerned at the
June.1965 session of Bruce county
council over prevalence of cattle
rustling in this county, asked coun-
cil to post rewards. The.matter was
referred to,the finance committee
which asked time to check the
legality of such a move.,
Nearly 11/2 years have passed and
the finance conutiittee has not re- •
ported on its cheek.. •
Kincardine Reeve Ernest Greer
'fed up with.the committee's indec-
ision, again brought the request .
before council. Rustling over the
past tnonth in Bruce has been the
heaviest in the county's history,.. •
Thursday the problem was placed
with the committee 'representing
those directlyaffected by the rust-
lerS .the agricultural committee,.
who are to come in at the January
session with a proposal to curtail
the cattle thefts, '
