meeting of the Huron-Bruee
Association at the Wingham Town
Hall on Thursday evening of last.

The riding comprises 15 rural . •

ing of riding boundaries,, five

Huron -Bruce. -Kincardine town.

Speaking of the recent Federal-'
Provincial 'Premiers conference in
Ottawa , Mr. ,Oliver said, "I would
. hate • to see the premiers of Quebec.
and .Ontario holding up the progress
• of this country past. the placeof
fair play and justice". "In order •
to give the provincial premiers the
requests they have made ,• Ottawa
must raise the 'income tax by 100/b
which seems like a good deal for .
the provinces', but our premier
is not satisfied" , commented Mr.
Olivers • '•
He said that the Ontario govern-
ment,has taxed nearly everything!
they can get their hands on which' •
has amounted to about 10%, but
if they continually go after" the
•Federal government for more , funds
they will weaken that government
which will eventually weaken us.
• Speaking.of the present farm sit-
uation in Ontario,• Mr. Oliver said
"There is less confidence among

Agriculture at this time than there
