Yours truly; Mrs. Ralph Hunter, R 5, Kincardine. . STROUD HISTORY Michael Stroud and Elizabeth Alton came from Dublin, Ireland about the year 1832. They kept a lodging or boarding house in Luck - now. It was a long white house and used to be 'jammed full with people travelling from one place to the next. Michael and Eliza- beth Stroud were known for their fine hospitality. • They had 'six' children, Ellen,. Annie, Barbara. Jim, Dave and,' Michael. They lived to be 77 and 76, 1889 and 1887. They are . buried in Tiverton -Cemetery. EUen.was three years old when her parents came to Canada. She married Wm. Conquergood. They lived on the tenth of •Kincardine Township for 40 years. Then they moved to Western Canada. They had seven of a family. They had • two sets of twins.:.
