After a lengthy illness, .Henry.
Earle Wightman.passed' away at .
W.ingham' Hospital on Tuesday,,
February 15. •.
lie was born in Mersea Township,
Essex, Courity, on November 30th,.
1891, the youngest•child of Will-
iam. John Wightm.an and Sarah Ann
Henry.. When, he was about four
years -of age..the family moved to
Wawanosh .Township.. They reside
firston' the Division Line;' later, on
Concession 4. We Wawanosh,
where Earle. attended Westfield
School 'and Wingham High Schbol..
On June45th, 1921, he was
married to"'E11eda Mathers at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Mathers, near •'
Lucknow. They resided on the.
groom's farm where he was. active
in community and, church life." '
Always 'fond of music, he 'wa s a
.valued member, of the choir of the
Auburn United Church.
"In 1935 he was elected to the
Session.of the Church and later
served as Clerk. of -Session until his
retirement in 1958 due to .ill • heajth
In October of that: year, Mr •;•
and Mrs.: Wight/liar). moved to'',
Lucknow ~where they resided, with .
Mrs, Wightman's mother; whose
death 'occurred in '1963
Besides' his wife, Mr.' W'ightman
is survived ,iiy three ionsand two
daughters., Elvin: H. of Niagara •

.Jo. n Hildebrand of West Wawanosh;;
Harvey; J.'.- of . Waterloo; (Hattie)
