There wore forty-five loads .of stock on the local n1arkoi, Wednes- day morning, including two from yesterday. There were .a good 1.many. export. cattle •among them.. Last week's receipts were 2,093 cattle; 2,711 sheep and lambs and. 716 hogs. There was practically no change in values of butchers cattle from Friday's decline. The feeling continues weak on account of the heavy offerings of inferior cattle. There were bntfow choice on tho market. Thorn was a fair demand for good cattle on a basis of 32c per lb. for best loads and 4c for picked lots, while inferior sold as low as 2c. Trade on the whole dragged. Export cattle about steady with a weaker tendency. .Demand was not so active as last week. Space still continnes very scarce. Most of the transactions" were on a basis of $5 per cwt.
