The choir of Trinity church drove to
the reeidence of Mr Naftel of Goderiela
township on Tueeday evening of this
week end for a few' boors enjoyed
themselves most heartily as is always
the case at this most hospitable honue.
During the course of the evening they
presented Niss Celia Naftel, daughter
of the host and hostess, with a purse
containing a handsome sum, Miss
Naftel has been organist for some time
and advantage was taken of the occa-
sion to show show their ft ppreciation of
her services

town hall on 'Kueeday evening of last
week wait largely -attended by members
of the Court. their wives, sweethearts
and friends. After the well prepared
bivalves had beer, disposed of, the wor-
thy Oinef Ranger, Mr Thos Oamerone
took the chair and a program ot mune,
speech and song wee given. Mise Ruby
Whiddon sang in -a very pleasing
manner a couple of times, Mr Robert
Bailey gave two songs; we always like
to,hear him. Dr Smith gave readings,
in„Which he excels, and there was a
abort speech by Mr John 'Fraser, who
talks in an interesting -manner. Much
of the success of the supper was due to
