great pleasure to listen to her singing
The anthems by the choir were "Mag-
dalene" and "Oh, death where is thy
sting," and were rendered with ex-
cellent effect by the choir, the attack
and expression being first class. The
Organ Recital by Prof. Glenn Camp.
bell, at the evening F ervice was thor-
oughly enjoyed, and he showed, in the
varied numbers that his master -hand
had lost none of its skill during his
absence. The Choir and Choir master
are to be congratulatedpn the success
of the Easter services.
ST PAUL'S
The annual Vestry meeting of St.
Paul's Church was held in St Paul's
School -House last Monday evening.
Tim Treasurer submitted his financial
statement which was the most satis-
factory for a number of years. The
full report'Of the -church will be re.
ceived at an adjourned meeting after
the close of the financial year. The
auditors appointed were Messrs
Erskine and MacLean, The church-
wardens, Messrs El T Rance and E
Ball were re -appointed. The Sides -
men were: -J, Hart'ey, F Evans, W
Johnston, T Greene, '1' Herman, 13.

kins, P Freeman. A Conn% \V. Ford,
D Holloway. Aconimittee consisting of
Messrs Cluff,Jahneon,W Jackson and
the wardens were appointed to eon -a
sider what improvements might be
made to the church grounds and to
report at the next meeting. After
the adjournment of the vestry meet -
a Congregational meeting was held at
which Messrs John Ransford and T D
Johnson were elected Lay Delegates
to the Synod. Mr Frank Herman is
Vestry Clerk for the current year.
St Paul's Church has been present-
ed with a beautiful Prayer Desk given,
to the memory of the late Mr W W
Farran. It is of braise and was made
by Birks & Co. of Montreal, ando is a
piece of exquisite workmanship. The
design is similar to that in St Luke's
Church. Montreal, in memory of the
late Bishop Carmichael. The inectip-
