To th,e Editor tf the Winton ,New Era.:
Srx;—Allow me to call attention to a few.
points in this election worthy of mature con-
eideration. Not a single valid reason has
been advanced why Mr. Mowatshould not be
saetained. Nota single charge of corruption
has been fastened on him, No exception has
been taken to Me administration of public af-
fairs, except on the Crooks Act, and even in
reference to this many, of his opponents agree
that nothing better could be'introdueed. Iu
view of these things, Mr. Editor, 1 fail to see
wherein a change would be any advantage,
mere especially as the Tory candidates have
not informed us in what way they will do
better. I fear, sir; that'to support the Tories
iu preference to the Grits world be to go
backwards, and not caring to see Ontario
take such a step, I ask the friends of a good
limiest -government, to rally to. the support of

our fair province for the next four years.' No
previous election in n thr"s piovnce wasso full
of importance as this; an attempt is being
made' to take from us our territory and our
legislative rights, and our license laws are
again to be thrown into confusion. No man
in Ontario who loves liberty, fair play, and
the right to manage our own affairs should
cast his ballot on the 27th-inst. witbout first
