a demand for both eXpert and beteher
cettle, `particularly of geoid quality,

cattle .Since vessels are now getting
undelayed by the heavy smoke and
fog en• the St. Lawrence, which, for a
time seriously hampered 'the trade.
Several'. loads of fairly' good export
cattle sold at from $4,90 to $5.16,
and light: export sold at around 34.70.
There is an active demand for cholea
butcher cattle, extra pickedsteers �t
heifers . selling' at $4.40 to $1.65.
Common butcher cattle are -no heeler
and sell all the way from .$150 to
$8.15. .
