Clin- ton on Thursday last was a, deeided see - cess, and again proves the fact that nowhere in America can bo found bet- ter stock of all kinds than there are to be found in these western coun- tries, Splendid inducements in the way of prizes were offered for com- petition in all classes, and the owners of stock were on hand in large num- bers. Each class being well filled. There were over 150 entries, the crowd was good, and had it not been for the chilly weather would have•bleen much larger. 'There were two Govern- ment judges, D. H. G. Reed of Geor- getown who judged the light, horses, and Jas. Rennie of Toronto the grain. Mr. Rennie also gave an instructive address on seed ,growing. Alex.
