Good Cattle. -Mr. James Hearn,
bought 17 head of fine fat cattle from
James Fair of the Clinton Roller Mills
on Monday. Two of them weighed
4550 pounds. Tho 17 weighed 25050
pounds and were pronounced by com-
petent judges who. have seen cattle by
the seores in Clinton to be the finest
lot they ever saw here.

4 Show Lost Thursday,
The third Huron County, Spring
Stock Show which was held in.
Clin-
ton on Thursday last was a, deeided see -
cess, and again proves the fact that
nowhere in America can bo found bet-
ter stock of all kinds than there are
to be found in these western coun-
tries, Splendid inducements in the
way of prizes were offered for com-
petition in all classes, and the owners
of stock were on hand in large num-
bers. Each class being well filled.
There were over 150 entries, the
crowd was good, and had it not been
for the chilly weather would have•bleen
much larger. 'There were two Govern-
ment judges, D. H. G. Reed of Geor-
getown who judged the light, horses,
and Jas. Rennie of Toronto the grain.
Mr. Rennie also gave an instructive
address on seed ,growing. Alex. Mc-
Tavish, of Stratford, judged the heavy,
horses, and Capt. Robson, of Ildertea,
the cattle., •
