a member of the Masonic and Orange
Orders, and some years ago- was a
member of the town council. He
leaves a famity of 2 daughters and one
son in Goderich. the Mieses Minnie
and Evelyn and Rto,t Oraigie. Another
death wad that of Mrs Jae Dustow, " at
tbe age of 59 years. She was former-
ly Mrs Viles, but a few years age. was
ariarried-again to her now bereft 'hus-
band, - Stilianother was that of dentin!

Weetern Canada Flour Mills Company

Orange order and leaves a flintily sur-
viving. Sergeant James 11 Wells of

last three inntiths of 1907 hotel accom-
modation here has been seinewhat un-
settled. Local option came into force
in May and since tben. one of the ho -
tele, the Queen's, was buret down,and
the other, the Commercial, closed
their doors in October. The Commer-
cial haS new been bought and renov-
ated by Mrs Hodgens and under the
management of her son Mr. W. Per
kins,the hotel is splendidly Conducted,
and better accOmmodaticn 16 being
given than during the licence term,
which is very much appreciated by
-the travellers who visit this thriving
village. Mr NV ikon, of the local res-
,taurant,'Who is serying the public and
travellers,- is -doing -a -n ice -trade And -n
complaint can now be made about

ton was played Friday evening last be-
tween the above teams, and preyed

game started with a rush, with, the
puck in possession of the visitora,soon
however; being procured by Johnston,
and after one or .two neat passes,
found the Seaforth nets. This was the
beginning Of five successive scores, the
sixth and seventh going to the visitors
eighth and ninth to Clinton, • ending
thefirst half. The second half started
in much the same way, and continued
throughout with Clinton always on
the aggressive,. Seldom were the visi-
tors in dangerous quarters, two of the
goals•being scored in scrambles. The
forwards of the "Clinton teeth did ex-
cellent and telling work, as did tbe en-
tixe septette, and eagerly await the
date -for tbareturn game in the Witte
rink at Seaforth. The score at finish,
