With the Huron Food Action
Network's annual general meeting
now cancelled due to a lack of
interest, the organization's future is
in doubt.
According to a press release
issued by the organization last week,
the annual general meeting, which
was scheduled for earlier this month,
has been cancelled due to a lack of
interest and board members.

A chance meeting
The community of Ethel held its annual Ethel Family Christmas on Friday night and despite
the snowy conditions, many were out to take in the festivities. The night included horse-drawn
wagon rides through the village, carolling, refreshments and, if you were lucky, a visit with
Santa Claus, like 18 -month-old Hannah Reibeling is seen here enjoying. (Vicky Bremner photo)
Letter to the Editor
Writer disappointed in poor
snow removal in Blyth
THE EDITOR,
I am very disappointed with the
snow removal (or lack of) on our
main street in Blyth this year.
We have many people, such as
myself, who find it difficult getting
to the sidewalk after parking. The
snowbanks make it almost
impossible. You need to walk to
either end of the street (and hope a
car does not hit you) to gain
access.
I always bragged about how impacts on the image of our town.

situation of having an insufficient
board for yet another year. On top of
this, [the network] no longer has an
employee to co-ordinate activities
which means a highly -motivated
board will be absolutely necessary
for the network to continue," the
press release states.
The network only has two current
board members, which is four short
of the minimum to operate.
Unless new board members step
forward, the network will be forced
to dissolve, meaning that its
remaining funds will be distributed
to the Huron County Chef League
and the Huron County Drink Group.
If you are interested in becoming a
member of the board, you must do
so by Dec. 30, 2016. To express
interest, e-mail Network Chair
Nathan Swartz at
