needed to be aware of the group
in Clinton that's working at
building a new playground. He
suggested that council might want
to hold a strategic planning
session and decide on its goals for
that property before moving
forward.
Council decided to discuss the
issue at a future strategic
planning session. In the meantime,
however, Doherty suggested that
the three proponent groups — the
skate park, the playground and
the splash pad — get together and
begin discussing ways to best use
the property together, potentially
pooling their resources, rather
than continuing to operate on their
own.
