Cards of thanks
LAVIS. Wow! The celebration of my
90th birthday was wonderful. I have
so many people to thank Thank you
to my daughter Anne and sons
Bryan, Paul, Gord and Allan for
organizing and decorating the
church for the party. Thank you to
Ethel and her UCW group for
making such a good lunch. Thank
you to all the people who came, sent
or gave cards, gave flowers and gifts
or phoned me. Thank you to my
wonderful grandchildren and great-
grandchildren for gifts, pictures, a
sleepover and fun times! Thank you
to friends and family who came from
a distance to celebrate my special
day. I will add my 90th birthday
celebration to my collection of
wonderful memories. – Gwen Lavis

McLEAN. I wish to express a
special thank you to Sharon Dalton
of Blyth for providing wonderful
convalescent care following my
recent hip surgery. My "Best Friend"
graciously provided for all my needs
and her beautiful home was a haven
for healing. I have many fond
memories visiting with family and
the special Saturday morning coffee
with uncle "Charlie's Angels." I
would also like to express my
appreciation to my family and those
friends who kept me close in their
thoughts and prayers. Your acts of
love sending thoughtful cards,
beautiful flowers and visiting will be
a cherished memory. – Sincerely,
Joyce McLean. 20-1
PLUNKETT. We can't begin to
express our thanks enough for all the
help we received after we lost our
home to fire. Special thank you to
the North Huron Fire Department
and also thank you to our friends,
neighbours, clubs, churches and
anyone else who helped us out. We
are staying positive and taking one
day at a time. We can't change the
past but are looking forward to the
future. We are so thankful that we
live in such a caring community. –
Dave, Julie, Nathan and Ryan.20-lp
