Reeve* Make, in commenting
on matters, outlined the County
of Huron's purchase of the God--
erich Airport and felt that ' it
would turn out as a very sound
financial move. In ' speaking of
the 'building of the: new county
home. at a cost of •$1,087,303.00,
he said. that a 50% grant is. re-
ceived ori . this expenditure. The
present county hoz* will acco-
modate 101 -and within the ,past
week had to refuse admittance
to two people. The new 'home
will give about 240 beds, all
told. It is expected xhat con=
struction will .be made...on a ten
year , debenture without raising
the. county 'mill rate.. ' •
Reeve Blake expressed
cern about the fact that county
officials think the. county 'has
too many roads . in comparison
o. their assessment. A future
step might 'be to revert' some of
the roads to the township and
they .will have "little to say iri
such a matter''
"'The number. of visitors to the
Huroh County Museum 'this past
year has ''been 2Q,422.. Reeve
Blake felt' that one;of the', high-
lights of the, county year will
be •the burning of the mortgage

'ruled "no : claim' by the cattle
owners. The cattle owners took
the issue to law and a provincial
