Fred, who lives On Highway
86, four miles west of LiicknoW,
was working with his brother
,Goldie about five 'nilles south of
Benrniller hi the Goderich area,
• The two were draWing. • hay.
• When the mishap occurred. Gol-
die.'whs ahead driving a truck
loaded with hay and Fred was
' 'behind with, a tractor Pulling a
wagon load of hay.
Fred' was descending • a hill
when the load shifted and tip -

the'wheel and fender. Ile was
, knocked unconscious'. • " •
GOldie, who fertunately was
concerned about the hill, had i
Stopped to see. that everything
was all right. By doing this, he
probably saved Fred's life. Gol-
die and a young lad Who was
with thein succeeded in raising
the tractor with a heavy jack
that they . luckily had in the
truck. The pressure of the trac-
tor was .stopping the breathing
of , the pinned victim and had
not the tractOr been raised
quickly, Fred probably would
have beencrushed to death.
He was removed by ambul-
ance tO Goderich ' Hospital • and
condition the first of the
week was fair although the 'ex
tent' of the injuries was still not.
known. Chest and ,internal' in-
juries, fractured ribs and ahra-
sions was all that could be de-
termined until' 'x-rays we're, ex-
amined.

MES. JOHN WEBSTER •
' The death- of Mrs. John Web-
ster occurred at Agincourt On
Friday, September 4th at the
age of 86; froni a „heart seizure.
' Mrs, Webster was the former
Lavina Hu.mphrey, daughter of
• Wm. • Ruiriphrey and Elizabeth
MCGuire of. the St. Helens. dis-
trict. Lavina' was born in West
Wawlmosh on May 30th, 18173,
and had 'lived in the diStriet
almost ,a]1 her life, where she
had many friends. Shelwas niarL,
tied at SC • Helens in 1892 to
John 'Webster, who predeceased
