Death of Mrs.. ' Bert McWhinney
The Death of'. Mrs.• Bert Mc-
Whinney •(nee Edna May Lapish)
was a distinct shock to her hus
band and friends.'. She was .hos-
pitalized a week at 'Goderich &
then- was transferred to Victoria
Hospital, London, where she
underwent surgery a week pre-
vious to her death. She was ap
.parently coming along 'fine,' but
•suddenly took a' turn for the.
worse and passed .away Monday;
June 20th: She was in- her 54th
Year and has been in this district
about twenty ' years ... from her.
birth place Bar River. She was
married . to her husband, October
15th,; 1955 and making many
friends.. with whom she came in.
contact. "She was' a valued
member of the Dungannon .Unit-
ed Church choir.
Besides'.. her • sorrowing hus-
band, she is' ; survived by three
sisters and two brothers who
'were all present for. the funeral:

Sault Ste. • Marie, Mrs. Stanley
(Lula) Becking, Mrs. Ed (Clara)
Nichol, Sam and Tom ` Lapish at
Bar River. The remains rested
at; her late horne in Ashfield till
