deceased her in 1929:

school in August of 1857, plans
were made for building•the first,
,frame church.. The :frame' was
raised' a year ,later and while
there is no record of an'official,

• in 1906' during' the '.pastorate of
8,ev. Alexander ' Millar who
spoke Gaelic fluently, which was

Dr,.. Salkeld has had quite • a
distinguished' career as, an en-
tomologist; and ishighly honor=
ed by the Cornell University in-
vitation., A few years ago she
did ` postgraduate and special ire-
search work in. England in the
relentless .agricultural battle

lic .School Teachers' Federations
acting on behalf of, the Lucknow
Public School . Teahing staff. , ,
The '' salary, schedule. divides
the leachers into, four levels, ac-
cording to. their qualifications.;
PRE -LEVEL has . a minimum
salary of $2,600, with a maximum
of , •$2,800. •.A ' teacher with. any
qualifications less.than Level
One • is considered as' ;Pre -Level.
LEVEL ONE . 'has a minimum.
of $2;800 salary, . a maxi-
mum of $3,000. Qualifications
call for Grade 12, plus two
years at Teachers' College,., or
Grade 13, •• plus '. one year at
Tea chers .College
LEVEL TWO has a. Minimum,
salary • of $3,200 with •a :maximum
of `$5,000. Qualifications are . the
same as `Level One,; `plus the
fact that'the•;teachers must have
two. years successful teaching to
give them a permanent 'teaching
certificate,
LEVEL • THREE . has a mini
mum pf $3;200 with a maximum
