Mrs. MacDonald was the former.

Charles . of the 2nd concession of
Huron Township at Clover Val-
ley: It was there thathey were
married on June 21st, .19:11,: at
the home of the bride's:, parents.
Mr. and. Mrs. MacDonald have
a'fainily of three daughters, Mrs.

the construction' of a mausoleum,
This is, a project that has been
under consideration• for some
time; Plans call . for' the work' to
get underway this year so the
building will be in readiness for

dalism occurred at the Legion
Hall • early last 'Saturday morn
• ing,: when,, seven .lovely 'nursery-•'
purchased evergreens ' were up-
rooted, from .the flower beds and
scattered about. '

home, for Dr. Finlayson .was born
at'. Lochalsh, a son Of the late
Mr. • and Mrs. John Finlayson:

when World War I broke out,: & ,
graduating in .19;16 he immediate-
-1Y joined the armed ,forces* and
• spent 21/2 years overseas on loan
to' the. Royal :Canadian' Army Me-
dical • Corps. • During • that, period
he was one of a fclirsome of
doctors who 'went to China to es-
cort a workforce of 3000 .Chinese
to France: They crossed the Paci-
•fic, then by, train Vancouver' to.
Halifax, • where they embarked`
.on the final lap of the journey.
The > ship on which they crossed
the Atlantic was torpedoed: on:
its next voyage.
Upon his return from overseas,
Dr. Finlayson did post graduate
work for 6 months in New York.
• Ong Christmas Day 1919, he
came ,to Ripley where he .prac
ticed for 21 years:. In 1941 ; he

Hospital' in'�Tornto. • and ,sub'se:=
quently. to the new . Sunnybrook
L Hospital. Retiring ,after 17:' year's
