BATTLE FOR GROUP HONORS

On :Tuesday, February 6th, the
Ripley :Midgets played - host to
the Mildmay .Midgets in the first
game of the group playoffs.' The
play off is thebest two out of
three games, (Ripley ' won the
game ;by a very close score 2-1.
There was no scoring. in the first,
period, but in, ,the second, Ripley
scored: There ' was no other scor-
ing until 19 minutes of the 3rd'.
period. Mildmay, pulled their,
goalie and. used 6 attackers. It.
paid off, they scored. But Ripley
came.. right, ,back to score with
24 seconds left to play. The ,game
ended this way, 2-1. •
