The February, meeting 'of the
Zion United Church Wenien was
held on Thursday, Februark,--gth-,
• at the home of Mrs. Marshall: Gib-
son with 22 members and 5 child-
ren present. The president, Mrs.
Hunter.tpresided and opened
the meeting by repeating the
Lord's Prayer in unison. The wor-
ship servicewas taken: iby Mrs.
• Peter Cook with Mrs. Charles. An-
derson reading the scripture les-
son. Mrs Wesley •Ritchie gave one
• Chapter. of the study book. Read-
ings were .given by Mrs. Earl
Swan and by Mrs. Russel Swan.
Mrs. Robert Helm gave a reading
"Adventure lies West." :The pre-
sident read "thank -you • Mites"
from former members & friends
who-ihad been remembered at.
Christmas time. •The visiting
committee for February is Mrs.

the chair. Scripture was 'read in
unison. Mrs. Emerson., gave • the,

two debtors. The, Aim and 'pur-
pose of the. W.M.S.was repeated.
At the • request of Preib3rterial,.
that the Auxiliary have a student
secretary, the Welceine and Wel-
fare Secretariei were asked to
take charge . of the Student De-
partment, . The • one • hundredth
anniversary of the. organization
Of the W.M.S. ,will be celebrated
in 1964. Mrs: C. Agnew was ap-
pointed to represent this auxili-
ary on i'committee to make plans
for the. occasion. Mrs. Henderson.
announced that the Maitland
Presbyterial is to meet in Luck: -
now this year on May 16th. An
offering was taken for the PreS-
byterial fund, to help with the
expenses of a Presbyterial ;dele-
gate to the, training center in.
Belleville in `July. Eighteen ladies
answered roll call with a Bible
verse containing the • word
"Love". Mrs. Emerson 'invited
the auxiliary, to meet in her home
in March. Miss Carrick, Mrs. Lit-
tle and. Mrs. C. Agnew took part
in the prayer 'circle. Miss Mary
MacLeod gave' the .Mission Stijdy
on British. Guiana.: Using a map
of South America, she 'related the
early history of the country, and
told of its resources; and of the
East Indians „and Africans who
compose the greater part of the

ed the meeting with, prayer.dgr.§.
Little and, Margaret Malcol as-
sisted, the. hoStess in serving tea,
.and a secial hour was enjoyed.

held at the home of Mrs...Joseph
MacMillan with nine r,nembers
present. In the absence of Rev:
Fr. ,Thoma, Mrs. MacMillan op-
ened the meeting with the League
Prayer. After a lengthy business
discussion during- which -consid-
erable correspondence' was dealt
with; a delicious hinch, was serv-
ed. Mrs. Wilhim Schmid kindly
offered her home for the, next
meeting on the first Monday af-
ternoon in March. ,
