VILLAGE COUNCIL, PROGRAM
(Cortinued from page 1)
wasn't in favor of spending the
town's money to get housing. ' '
PROPERTY, MORE VALUABLE
While , property . owners , are
paying more taxes the "Reeve
threw out the reminder that in
the past few years preperty: val-
ues had,- practically dtiubled.
Without progress c and improve-
ment& thO.Village could have fal-

the' importance of watching tax
colleetions to keep municipal
credit in good standing. .

Industrial promotion is • some-
thing we've got to. think about,
the reeve said, adding that the

The arena project will be up'
to the people to decide, and Reeve

ed will. be- the continuing policy
of keeping the System in- top' con-
dition. ,
WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Reeve, said the Works` De-
partment was unsatisfactory and
there. would have to be a change.
Village - work from 'Spring to fall

sider the ',purchase • of, a small
type tractor with loader and grass

Educatidn costs will continue to
increase, Mr, Joynt said; and it
will be necessary to tighten 'up
in other Departmenta.
