Forget nota; our Creator: in the
days of our youth or in those
changing times. •
I wonder if the good intelligent
people of , • this generation realize
that we are. , drifting away... from
God of our Forefathers: and Moth-
ers in whom they put 'their hope
and trust for their daily bread
and help•in all times .of adversity..
They looked' to Hint. as a loving
.Father who • would look 'after . them,
if `they would' only 'ask ..1im `I;o
guide and lead :them.' They de-
pended on God and on themselves.;
•Not* •sko: Ieday. We are, turning
more and' more to r • a 'man ittade
Society looking to and asking the
Government to look after our.
needs, ; from the cradle > 'to the
grave,almost, if. not altogether
forgetting that all good. • 'things
worth' while' are given. to our.
Nation ' and 'Individuals as 'well
from ,the Almighty :who • created
not only , this earth which we as
His children enjoy, but• the Uni-
verse above us. •
Most of us know, if we think at
all, our representatives in , Parlia-
ment would have ..nothing to give
such as Medicare, Old ,Age Pen-
sions,, Baby Bonus • if the:`. Lord
was. not 'blessing this Claud of ours
so ,bountifully : in 'so ,many: ways..
t
Let . us: ''then return
.thanks to
Him ,always ' who has the: - Power
to give ;or . with -hold those . bles-
sings we are enjoying lest. He
turn away, from us. as Ile turned
away from the Isrealites . of, :old
when . they forsook Him and..
turned ' to man-made gods as our
generation' is turning today to our
overnment for such as, unemployment.. help' and hand
guts
. in-
surance
surance , which ' is. •so easy to.. col-
lect, possibly.; easier for some :than.
looking :energetically for. a •job.
I '' am very.. much in favour of
helping our youth.. to get an- ed-.
ueation. • with, government grants
to : universities and. schools and
more. 'bursaries for • deserving
students. But how; ,are they go-
ing to
oing'to s -carry the load of National,
Provincial and Municipal debt- we
are leaving for: them.
If our Government is going, to.
keep . us we willbe weaklings, not
men and .women Iike . our :par-
