The. Federated 'Women beach-
ers' :of Ontario, Kincardine Unit,
held their annual meeting:. in the
Lucknow town' hall on Wednes-
day,' May 19th. Thirty-five teach-
ers enjoyed a : fine turkey: dinner.

After the dinner Mrs. C. Mac-
Tavish, president of the local un-
it, welcomed t h e members ' to
Lucknow. Mrs. I. ; Neal, Kincar-
dine, expressed the. appreciation
of the group to : the ladies for the
delicious dinner. Miss H. Thomp-
son favoured .:with :a : 'solo which
was much 'enjoyed
Mrs. H. Hall introduced the
speaker of the :evening, Mr. Lloyd
Ackert, who . showed pictures of
his .trip', .to' . Washington with ::the
Kinloss Boy Scouts. Mrs. I. Mar-
tyr'. thanked Mr. Ackert and, .com-
mented on the• fine:work being
done by him :among the'. 'boys

tificial ice and, a bowling alley in

rection. The Reeve stated that
present negotiations 'are being car-
ried on with Ontario Water Re-
sources Conimission

go ahead ,with such aproject.
While grants' presently do n o t
work to the advantage of . small

Mr. Joynt said the business

ple must take a positive approach
to thebusiness promotion of 'their'

importance of the village offering
