OBITUARY
MRS. A. FITZELL
The death of Mrs. Margaret Fitzell
at Shallow Lake removed one of
the pioneer residents of Bruce coun-
ty. Her death occurred after an ill-
ness of nine .months, duration, the
result of an accident in which she
sustained a ' fractured hip. She was
in her ninetieth year:

her husband retired and moved to
Shallow Lake where Mr. Fitzell
passed 'away ten years ago last Ap-

bia. It is quite cold there at nights
after the sun sinks . behind the
mountains and on June 9th, when
the letter was Written, therehad
been' snow' and hail that day. Mrs.
Hawkshaw had been in Vancouver
for sdme time before going to Pion-

sionary Society • ^ was held in .the
Church Tuesday, June 30th with a
small attendance and the president,
Mrs: S. C..Rathwell in the chair.
Mrs. Stothers read the scripture and
Mrs. Stewart led' in prayer. Mrs. T.
H. Alton gave a reading and Mrs.
J. W. Joynt sang a solo, after which
Miss Eva Greer gave a talk on the
sectional meeting whichwas held at
Clark's on June 16th and was quite
interesting. Mrs.' Andrew took the
last chapter in the study book and
the meeting closed with hymn 344
and the mizpah benediction.
