Sun- day, July 16th, .when, the unveil- ing took place of a beautiful silver cross; mounted on a three tiered silver ,pedestal, . in memory of Sgt. William C Scott,who was killed in April 1943. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Scott, ' par- ents of the young airman who paid the supreme sacrifice, - stood on either side of the flag draped menioriaL Mrs.. Scott drew the cords unveiling it. The inscrip- tion on ,the memorial reads: Pre- sented in loving memory of Ser- geant Air - bomber. William C. Scott, killed in operational flight during the World War, by his parents, James and Dorothy Scott.
