He was in his 73rd year. He was •born in Ashfield Town- ship, son , of Thomas Dickson and Elizabeth Armstrong Dickson and was ' married June 21, 1894, - to Miss Mary Matilda 'Reed. There were eight children, Mrs. (Rev.) C. E. Taylor, Thamesford; Miss Minnie Dickson, Reg.N:, superin- tendent of Goderich Hospital;. Mrs. Murray Dyer of ., Guelph; Mrs: W. " H "Bryan,- at. --'home Thomas Dickson,. Con.. 3, West, Wawanosh; Fred, 'overseas; and Melvin, Con. 5, Ashfield. One son, Williarh, •predeceased him. Mr. Dicksort. liad' `been a resi- dent of.' Ashfield until ' about 3 years ago when he sold his '150- acre farm to his youngest son and 'retired to Dungannon. A member of, Dungannon United church he was also 'a member 'of session and of the official board. He had been president . of the Dungannon branch of the Bible . Society. .. The . funeral was held- on Morn- day with a private service at the home ' at 2 o'clock anda public service at Dungannon 'United. Church at 2.30 .i .in. Rev. H. J. Vickerson officiated and inter- ment was in Dungannon Cemet- ery. Pallbearers were Hugh Stew- art, D. S. Errington, J. J. Ryan, H. J. L. Eedy, Wilfred Quaid arid E. W. Bryans.
