The Langside patriotic. society
held their social evening on Fr•i-
day with an attendance of a-
round 70. A progressive euchre
party was held °during the first
part of the evening. Prize win-
ners were Mrs. Wesley .Tiffin,
•Bill Scott, Miss Arthur and Mr.,
Gordont 'Wall. At the close of the
euchre thebusiness meeting' was
held with the .president, -Mr. Ivan
Conley,. presiding::it was decided
tohave the next -.entertainment
on April 12th- when dancing will
be the entertairimen4iA :financial
statement showed, a balance of
$39.37 afterboxes had _been :sent
to Jim and Dave' Scott, Oraharn
and Dave Moffat, Jim Morrison,
Albert Taylor, ..Bob Orr, Gordon
Ball. The boxes contairted waxed
eggs, cookies, candy, soap, pea -
,nuts, envelopes, writing • pad,
cheese. The total, cost of boxes
•was $5.62 and the postage $7.008.

turned from overseas. for 'treat-
ment here in Canada was 'called
to the platform and gave much
useful information to the people
through the questions • asked.
