- WILLIAM BELL
The death of William Bell, pio-
neer . Huron Township resident.
took place Sunday, January 2nd
at his residence after a prolong-
ed illness. .Four years ago he
suffered a stroke .and since that
time had not enjoyedgood
health : .. A second stroke, two
'weeks ago resulted. in his death.
Born 81 . years Igo, a son of
the late Mr. and 1Virs. John Bell,
he spent his: entxre� lifetin- e. • ixi,

The funeral service, which was
exceptionally', largely attended by
friends 'andneighbors who• had
come to appreciate his worth

last Wednesday night when they
staged art . exhibition . game with
Ripley, resulting in the locals
completely routing • the visitors
'by a score of .34 to 2:
-Play was slowed up by heavy
ice, ,-but nevertheless. • the locals
kept sifting the little black disc
into the twine from all angles.
The Ripley lads,, although _ short
handed andbadly beaten, kept
