The mail here has been 'slow
in coming. The ,cigarettes haven't
been coming at all and

Last night - there was an air
raid over London and 15 Jerrie*
got in.� We could ' see the tracer
shells in' the sky just like ••stars.
Three of .the, planes were shot
down. While they were bombing
here, the R.A.F. was : going over
to Germany and 'it sounded as.
'though there were hundreds of
•our planes going over. There
were . 60 Gerrrian planes came
over but only 15 got into London.
•It was a great sight to see th

down not far from here. The ack-.

ack guns were really' patting up
the tracer .shells. According to
the . paper several bombs . were
•'dropped but •I never Beard any.
Maybe the guns sort of drowned
the bombs out..HowPver as long
as they don't drop any ,bombs
around •here we don't mind.
