Mr. and Mrs.' William D. Mac-
intosh were pleasantly surprised
last', Thursday evening when
about thirty relatives and friends,
mostly frons 0 out-of-town, drop-
ped in for an evening of cards,
and to present them with a num-
ber. of lovely gifts: •
Theevent• was planned by
their daughter and 'son,. Kathleen
and Alex MacIntosh, and the par-
ents were completely unaware of
what was . brewing. Alex, ; and
Kathleen presented their mother
`and :dad with a -mantle,clock. Re
freshinents were 'served : at 'the
conclusion of the evening,- com-
plete with°•wedding Take •which
was cut by thebride and'grooxni
of forty' years ago. '
Mr. and Mrs. MacIntosh were
married on June 28th, 1916, at
the Presbyterian Manse by Rev,.
J. S. Duncan. They have lived all,
their married life in. Lucknow.
Mrs: Maclntosh was. formerly
Margaret Kennedy, daughter of
Mr: and Mrs,'Wm: Kennedy, Kin=
loss. Mr:1VIacIntosh is a .son of
the late Mr. and Mrs., Wm. Mac-
intosh. of Lucknow. .
