There passed away , in Wing -
his, Hospital! on June 10th, Mrs,
iauchlan C. MacIver in her 83rd
year, Active .until recently, she.
failed to recover from several
strokes,
She was. formerly Margaret
Theresa La Chapelle, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs ' Frank La.
Chapelle and wasborn in Har-
risville, Michigan, on June 14th,
1873. Previous to her marriage,
she .taught school for soine thir-
teen years, She. was • united to
Lauhlanf C. Maelyer . on July 8,
1903, in Harrisville, corning to
the 4th . Concession 'of Huron.;
where. she lived until , moving to
Lucknow..a few years ago. ''
jShe.� was loved and esteemed
by a'• fiery wide circle of friends,
°a' woman' of trulyt'Christian .char -
atter . whose influence was, uplift-
ing. Her home was ever -a place
of true hospitality..'She was be-
reaved, in .1932 by the sudden.
death of ',her eldest daughter
Frances, Mrs. David Brough and
in .1951: by the accidental death
of': her' only son, Donald. In. 1953,
.Mr: 1VIacIver passed away' 'after
the -couple. had celebrated their
gol'deii wedding anniversary in
