Wfl'EREAS it . is. ; provided by the . Dog• '.Tax ,and Sheep Pro-
tection Act,' R:S.Q. 1950, Chapter'107, Section 6, that Coni
ells' of Urban Municipalities Way pass By.. -Laws for prohibit-
ing the running at'large of : d'o'gs.
THEREFORE the Connell of the: Corporation -of the • Village
of Lucknow ` enacts as :follows: '
1. That no dog or .dogs, shall,be permitted t� run at large. •
within the limits of the Corporation of the •Village of; Luck-
' now and, shall ''be securely, tied or , closed up, by the .owner:
or -owners or ,harbourer at all . tirries unless .'on.. leash from
the 1st day of May to the lst day of October,'in the' year
1956 •and during the same period in each subsequent year
while this' By -Law remains an force:' •
2. ' ". Any dog ' found running at.large contrary to. this By-,
0
Law may be seized and impounded and 'killed or' seized and
killed without being impounded .`hy, the Chief of Police: of
the said',Corporation or under 'his• order and direction.
3. For the purpose of. th•iLB. Law__;_a-d.og.-'shall_be-deemed=
to 'be -running at large 'when found in a highway or other
public place and not under the .control of any person.
