Wiieyf'took up'' nearly all the time of
the'court. This was as action brought
by Mrs Nancy Wiley of Owen Sound,
against her Ibusbai►►td, MY, • William
Thos. ':Wiley, a ,farmer • living near
Allenforc], asking for alimony: It ap-
pears that some years ago Mrs, Wil-
ey and'the children removed, to Owen
Sound where -the children Were to be
educated, atld lived with 'her fattier,
who 1Yad a house ,there. llfrs. Wiley
agreed some time ago to accept $1500
alimony, but vitas able to break her
agreement by returning to, her hus-
band and -Jiving with • Mai a• short.

neighborwoinan at Allenford, swore
that her- husband objected"

comes along and takes ai picture of

to the farmer .and explains that the
pictuire is wanted :for' an atlas which
is being prepared and says that the
picture; when finished, will be worth
thirty or forty dollars, but that if the.
owner will allow the use of `the plc-;
ttr'e in the atlasmentioned, he' may;
1f' he chooses, purchase one of the pic-
tures at; a 'winch smallei; price. He is
then asked to sign a document giv-
ing this permission, Later On another
chap comes along with the picture,
for which he demands 'fifteen 'or:'

with, a duly signed contract and to
avoid' litigation and `trouble ''many a
farmer has handed over the money.'
