This program is for individuals who live alone, senior citizens, parents who leave their children at home with babysitters and non-English speaking immigrants. It applies to all who wish to provide for their care in case FIOLE DEVIE of fire, sudden illness, accident or other emergency. VIAL OF LIFE The Bayfield Lioness Club deci- ded to work on a project which we hope will benefit everyone in the Village of Bayfield. This project is called "Vial of Life". It is a program provid- ing life-saving information in your home in case of crisis or emergency. This program is for every home, especially those living alone, parents who leave their children with babysitters and people who have difficulty with English. It applies to all who wish to provide for their care, in case of fire, sudden illness, acci- dent or other emergency. How does this program work? You fill .out the form regard- ing the name of your doctor, medical insurance number, medical problems, medication and also a name to phone in case of an emergency. This information is placed in the vial and attached to the under- side of the top right hand shelf of the refrigerator. The "Vial of Life" decal is placed on the door of your refriger- ator to inform emergency per- sonnel that you are participa- ting in the program. The refrigerator has been chosen because it is easily accessi- ble and offers protection against fire. The vials will be given free of charge to all households. The need to obtain this vital information in an emergency has always been a problem. Rescue personnel with this information at their fingertips can go tc work immediately to save your life. HOW DOES IT WORK? Vial of Life is a simple program. You fill out the at- tached ttached form regarding the name of your doctor, medical insurance number, etc. This information is placed in a vial or pill box and fastened to the underside of the upper right hand shelf of your refrigerator where it will be easily found by rescue personnel if the need arises. The refrigerator has been chosen because it is easily accessible and offers protection against fire. WHY IS THIS INFORMATION VITAL? The need to obtain this vital information in an emergen- cy has been a problem to many. Rescue personnel, with this information at their fingertips, can go to work immediately to save your life.
