The Bayfield Post, 1981-07-16, Page 2PAGE 2 Interview with Shiel's cont'd.
Q. What are your future plans?
A. We have both been invited by the Northern
Canada Evangelical Mission to teach the Word
of God in the Key -Way -Tin Bible Institute in
Lac La Biche, Alberta, approximately 150 miles
north of Edmonton. This is primarily a North
American Indian training centre preparing
pastors, evangelists, youth and children's
workers to share the Gospel of Christ with
their own people.
Q. When will you begin your new ministry?
A. The first day of classes will be Sept. 10.
As we see it now, we will be leaving the
Bayfield area sometime in mid-August.
Q. Would you say this new appointment is similar
to your former work in South America?
A. Yes, I would say it is. The similarity is
basically what attracted us to this new
ministry.
Frankly, we do not look forward to leaving
Bayfield, but we are going because we believe
God is calling us to this work.
Q. What will you miss most in leaving Bayfield?
A. There are many things that we will miss,
primarily we will miss the love and fellowship
of our many friends whom God has given us over
these four years.
Q. You must be confident and yet have mixed
emotions regarding the magnitude of this move
at this time of your life?
A. Yes, we are, but we really feel that God
has guided us to make this important decision
regarding our future ministry.
We feel we are doing the right thing for 3
reasons:
The first being the guidance of God through
many verses of Scripture that have been a
blessing to us.
The second reason is a consideration of circum-
stances surrounding this opportunity.
Thirdly, the peace that we have in our
hearts after making this decision.
Now we'd like to thank you, Bob and Fran,
for giving us this opportunity to speak
to our community through your paper. And
we would like to leave this verse of scrip-
ture with you as we go.
L Cor - Chapter 15 - Verse 58
"Therefore my beloved brethren be steadfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work
of the Lord, for as much as you know that
your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
