The Bayfield Post, 1981-07-16, Page 1The Bayfield Post ISSUE A - 24 Editor's Corner MIGHT MAKES RIGHT The slogan "might makes right" is one of the basic concepts of communism. It's one of the basic tenets of any power structure that exerts its control by sheer force alone. Israel not long ago the innocent at the hands of killers has now gone full cycle and become the killer of the innocent. Israel has proven the age-old truth once again with terrifying accuracy, "that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." When one sees the long lines of Jewish people in captured Nazi war films waiting for what was to be death in a gas chanber and now sees Jewish politicians and soldiers blowing innocent Lebanese women and children to pieces in a cold blooded act of wilful' killing one cannot help but wonder if maybe there is really no 'difference between the victim and the killer, except that the Mier holds the gun. It's not a question who is right or wrong, who is good or bad, but who holds the rifle, who has the .__power_ For a people who have suffered so much such a short time ago, one would not have expected such an about face, such a flagrant disregard for the lives of the innocent.
