ECHOES OF 27TH ANNIVERSARY SERVICES
Bavfield Baptist Church
"Thou shalt remember - all the way - which the
Lord thy God hath led thee - to humble thee,
and to prove thee, to know what was in your
heart - that He might make you know - that man
does not live by bread alone - but by every
word that procedeth out of the mouth of the
Lord does man live: Deuteronomy 8:2-3
Guest Speaker for this blessed occasion was
Rev. Larry Johnson founding Pastor of the
Kawartha Baptist Temple in Peterborough, Ont.
Pastor and Mrs. Johnson and their fine family
ministered to us all very effectively with
soul stirring Gospel Music. Music that had a
message for all who were present in the
services. On Sunday morning in the Bible
School hour at 10 a.m., then again at 11 a.m.
his young son Daryl used Object Lessons of
"Gospel Magic" to bless and delight children
and adults alike. The Christ centered Bible
messages preached by Pastor Johnson were a
rich blessing to all and many were moved to
promise God that they would obey His word
and walk with Him in a deeper and more
dedicated way.
Dinner on the grounds was not possible because
of the uncertain weather, but a delicious
lunch was served by our ladies and enjoyed by
all in the basement of the Church after the
morning service.
It seemed that all too soon, we had come to
the closing service of this great Anniversary
Week -end - Sunday night at 7:30 p.m.
Once again our hearts were deeply stirred
through the beautiful Gospel Music - solos,
duets and the five family members taking part
in songs of Praise and Worship to a gracious
God and laving heavenly Father. The powerful
preaching of the Word of God by Pastor Johnson
was used of God to bless and encourage our
hearts as he preached from Mark 4:35-41 -
"Jesus led me - all the way:"

In summary we say with grateful hearts as we
look back over 27 years of God's Faithfulness
- in the Salvation of many precious souls, the
Baptism of many believers, and the Call of God
upon many lives as they have felt led to begin
their Service for the Saviour here, and then
have left this local Bible believing Church -
to Serve their Saviour in other parts of the
world, we say:
TO GOD BE THE GLORY * GREAT THINGS HE HAS
DONE -
SO LOVED HE THE WORLD * THAT HE GAVE US
HIS SON,
WHO YIELDED HIS LIFE AN ATONEMENT FOR SIN,
AND OPENED THE LIFEGATE * THAT ALL MAY GO
IN.
PRAISE THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD, LET THE
EARTH HEAR HIS VOICE,
PRAISE THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD, LET THE
PEOPLE REJOICE
0 COME TO THE FATHER, THROUGH JESUS THE SON
AND GIVE HIM THE GLORY, GREAT THINGS HE
HATH DONE:

BAYFIELD'S JUNIOR GARDENERS
are between 8 and 14 years old. Some are boys
and some girls. The group just began last
April and is sponsored by the Bayfield Garden
Club. The Club recently went on a hike to the
Baker property. There are no fees and the
club is looking for additional members. The
leader of the Junior Gardeners, Mrs, Rosemary
Croswaite, says that the club plans to put a
float in the Bayfield Fair Parade. Regular
meetings will resume in the Fall.
