Collection bottles or jars have been put in
the local Bayfield stores. These jars will
be collected from the stores in September.
There will also be a door to door campaign
in September, which is Arthritis Month, to
help improve the Society's financial fund.

Letters
Dear Editors:
Last weekend was a bit ridiculous. Some
individual or individuals held the village
captive racing around its streets like a
gorilla until 4 a.m. It wouldn't be
reason for concern if this was an isolated
event, but it is becoming a pattern of
behaviour on weekends.
Everyone should have the right to hit the
sack when they choose. If we do stay up
we have to respect the rights of those
who decide they want to use the night to
sleep. Lately the village has become the
drag strip of a person (or persons) who
doesn't give a damn about anybody. We
hope the Village Council, which up to
this point has given little or no indica-
tion that they know there is a problem, will
take the matter in hand. We hope residents
will let their Councillors know that they
are not happy with this "after midnight
madness". Council on their part should
act and act quickly to solve a situation
that could easily get out of hand.

LONDONERS VISIT BAYFIELD
A United Church Women's group of 60 to 70 from
Mount Zion Church in London were visitors to
Bayfield this past Wednesday morning. The
ladies were on a day's trip to Goderich and
District and stopped for a coffee break and
look -around in Bayfield. They didn't walk
too far in Bayfield's coolish temperatures but
all expressed delight in Bayfield's unique charm.
