Winners included alarge group ofhomeown- ers who were eager to show off their best displays of seasonal decor. Lawns and backyards could be seen covered in everything from sparkling lights and reindeer to blow-up Santas and snowmen. "The residents of the Village of Vanastra have demonstrated a tre- mendous 'pride of place,' evident in the wonderful holiday decorations on display throughout their com- munity" said Huron East economic development officer, Jan Hawley. "They are indeed wonderful ambassadors for the Municipality of Huron East and I look forward to working with them in the coming year as we strive to put Vanastra on the map:' Tuckersmith Ward Coun. Ray- mond Chartrand was also in the neighbourhood Dec. 18, handing out prizes and congratulations. "It's been so great to see a com- munity come together like this to celebrate the season," he said.
