STEVENSON, Kaye passed away at her
home surrounded by her loving family on
Friday, August 15th, 2014 at the age of 66
years. Kaye, beloved wife of Fred Steven-
son for 42 years. Loving mother of Dana
(Dan), Vance (Melanie) and Judd (Jenna).
Cherished grandma of Liam, Brooke, Park-
er, Morgan, Ethan, Charlotte and Lachlan.
Dear sister of Peter McCowan and prede-
ceased by her parents Peter and Isabel
McCowan and brothers Bob and Jack
McCowan. Family and friends were re-
ceived at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION
CENTRE 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby (N of Hwy
#2) 905 443-3376 for visitation on Monday,
August 18th, 2014 from 7 - 9 pm followed
by visitation on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014
from 2:00 pm until time of funeral service in
our Chapel at 3:00 pm. Private burial ser-
vice has taken place. Donations in memory
of Kaye to Ovarian Cancer Canada would
be appreciated.

THOMAS, Molly - Passed away
peacefully at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home
on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Born in Port
Talbot, Wales on November 16, 1919, Molly
was in her 95th year. Loving mother of Mike
and Marilyn Thomas of Seaforth, Neil and
Audrey Thomas of Roslin and Stuart and
Barbara Thomas of Ancaster. Cherished
Grandma of Kathryn (Kevin), Bradley,
Vanessa, Trevor (Renata), Betsy (Jeremy),
David (Julie); and also survived by six
great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Alan
Fairweather of Port Talbot, Wales; and also
missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her husband W. Alva
Thomas; grandson Dylan; parents George
and Grace (nee Freeth) Fairweather; and
by her sister Jean Boulton. At Molly's
request, cremation has taken place and a
private memorial service led by Pastor Mary
Fletcher was held at McGLYNN FAMILY
FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth, 519-527-1390,
on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11 a.m.
A reception was held at Northside United
Church and interment followed at Mount
Pleasant Cemetery in London. As
expressions of sympathy, memorial
donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated and can still be made
through the funeral home or by visiting

VAN ROOIJEN, Joe - Joe (Johan) Van
Rooijen, formerly of Seaforth passed away
peacefully at McNally House hospice in
Grimsby on Saturday, August 16, 2014,
with his family at his side. Joe was 66.
Although he was born in Holland and
immigrated to Canada in 1951, he always
felt Seaforth was his home. He lived in
many places with his career with the
Toronto Dominion Bank but it was his
memories of growing up near Roxboro that
kept his heart here. Joe is survived by his
much loved son, Peter and his wife Allison
of St. Catharines, whom celebrated their
marriage on Friday, August 22, 2014. Also
survived by Peter's mother, Ruth (Gorwill)
of Brockville, his brother John (Ann) of
Ancaster, sisters Sharon Verhoef of Clinton
and Janneke (Jim) Murray of Seaforth. He
will be missed by his best friend Diane
Brennan and his beloved retriever Casey.
Predeceased by his parents, Hank and
Joan Van Rooijen, a younger brother
Gerald and his brother-in-law Arie Verhoef.
At Joe's request there was no visitation but
an outdoor funeral service was held at
Maitland Bank Cemetery, on Tuesday,
August 19th, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Henry
Huberts officiating. A reception followed at
the Murray Farm on Bridge Road. Funeral
arrangements entrusted to McGLYNN
FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth,
